This is a Kathy Wingert Guitar that was custom built for Hal Chernoff, in loving memory of his young son, Shannon Victor Chernoff.
Hal had very specific ideas for this guitar as the butterfly has deep meaning for him in relation to his son.
Kathy and I poured our souls into this one to honour this young child and his father. I am proud to have been a part of bringing this guitar to life.
The material for the inlay used here are mother of pearl, gold mother of pearl, red abalone, green abalone and green ripple paua. The butterfly on the headstock is 53 separate pieces.
